Design Principles

Simplicity / minimalism
Layouts should be simple, make adequate use of white space, and be controlled by CSS techniques.

Intuitive navigation
Menus should be intuitive, accessible, and available throughout the site without having to backtrack to a previous screen. You should never have to wonder how to find what you're looking for.

Print controls through CSS
Pages printed directly from a web site should exclude extraneous menus and graphics. I strive to avoid using separate PDF files for printing.

Valid XHTML / CSS
All XHTML and CSS should be 100 percent valid as derermined by WC3 validation.

Handicapped accessible
Tables should not be used for layouts, all images should have "alt" statements, and CSS should be able to be turned off without destroying semantic elements.
